....but I'm pretty sure my little Addalyn is destined to follow in her daddy's footsteps.  And I gotta say, she looks pretty cute!

36 weeks!!!!!

 Well, last Thursday I was 36 weeks - WHAT??!!!  This pregnancy has flown by.  I actually haven't had an appointment since the last week in August, I have one on Friday coming up...it is really weird how little I have gone to the doctor this pregancy.  I was having appointments every week at this time during my pregnancy with Addalyn, and I haven't even gone down to every-other week yet.  Crazy.

I started to feel SUPER stressed about mid-week last week.  It all came to me at once that I could basically have this baby at any time, and we still hadn't gotten some things ready around the house, and I wasn't feeling ready at work either. 

Seriously, POOR AARON.  I was super stressed and pretty emotional about it -- and he handled me very very well.  I know if I had been dealing with me, I wouldn't have handled me as well, LOL! 

But this weekend, we got the room basically ready - crib #2 is up, closet is organized, my bag is packed, the newborn sleepers are washed...and after this week I'll feel more settled at work so I'm starting to feel like I can breathe again.  I'll post a picture of the changes to the nursery after we get the bedding - waiting for the bumper to come for the crib and then we'll be set! :) 

I've had 2 people to tell me today thatt I've dropped - I don't feel like I have, but I don't know.  So many people tell me different things, it's hard to keep it all straight.  Someone told my mom the other day that I was going to be at LEAST 2 weeks early by the way I am carrying, which would make me have only another week left...that's pretty crazy to think that I could be holding my new little one basically any day.  Where did time go?!!

 I think I'm pretty lucky that my husband is a "handy man".  I wanted a shelf for the closet to organize the clothes, since the dresser in the nursery is pretty small - and Aaron made it customized to exactly what I wanted/needed.  We painted it to match the nursery - it turned out awesome!



The key to my heart...making me things that gets my life more organized, LOL!  I love it! 

 Pretty sure I'll have time to do more posts before this baby comes...but at this point, you just never know!  Until next time.... :)

Daddy's Girl

So Addy loves her mommy....but she LOOOOOVES her daddy :)  I've pretty much known from the beginning that she was destined to be a daddy's girl!  I can't explain it, but it is just something that is "there".  It's great - what girl doesn't just adore her dad??  I know I did/do!  Tonight I was shopping with my mom - and when I got home, Aaron shared these pictures that him and Addy took with each other while I was gone.  Super cute. 

P.S. - do you LOVE the Christmas Pajama's that Aaron picked out for Addalyn!??  I have all her PJ's for the winter in her drawer, and already have Christmas ones because they are "hand-me-down's" from my nieces...  It makes these pictures even more special - gotta love it when daddy dresses the kids!  Christmas PJ's in September...why not?!!

Me and daddy have SO much fun together!

15 months :)

Addalyn was 15 months on the 3rd of September.  She had her check-up last week so I figured I'd give a little update on our little one's development!  She started walking right around 14 months - and is now a pro.  It is so funny how quickly you watch her walk with caution that she is going to fall, to letting her run/walk freely everywhere! 

Little miss Addalyn LOVES to talk!  She has lots of words in her vocab - I've heard people tell me she says a lot for her age, and very clearly.  I think she was working on her cognitive skills for a bit and that is why she walked around 14 months - she was just fine crawling and not advancing her motor skills :)

She says:
hi, bye, good night (nuh-nigh), daddy, mommy, please (the 's' sounds like a 'z' and it makes you want to give her everything she is asking for!), thank you, up, down, on, off, all done (da don), all gone (ga gon), uh-oh, no (she says no for EVERYTHING, even when she means yes!), eye, ear, belly button (beh-bah)and love you (nuvuu).  Just this weekend we noticed her starting to sound like she is counting to 2.  Aaron likes to throw her around, and play with her - and typically goes 1, 2, 3 before he does it...it seems she's starting to pick up on that!

Her check up went well - nothing to be concerned about.  A healthy, happy 15 month old.  Here are her stats:
Height - 30.8 inches (61%)
Weight - 22.41 lbs (44%)
Head - 18.3 inches (65%)

Addalyn has a very fun personality - the other day we were walking out of Applebees and she started saying hi to every table we walked by!  She is happy almost 100% of the time.  She loves to read books (for like 2 seconds at a time), play with her mega blocks, sit in her chair that daddy made her, dance, and play with lots of other toys.  She's at a very fun age!

But, as any toddler, she is starting to test her limits.  She wasn't too happy with mommy the other day.  We were at the play area in the mall - and Addy didn't want a girl to be on the same toy she was on, so she hit her...and mommy ended the fun play time immediately and had to strap her in her stroller so she wouldn't climb out so we could leave.  But, as I told her - we don't get to play when we are naughty...She'll learn :)

Don't I look BEAUTIFUL with the pretty's in my hair??  She loves to sit in the sink when I am getting ready in the mornings!  This morning she discovered my bag full of hair things and wanted them in her hair!

Just playing in the bath...without the water in it.  Do you like my pretty necklace?  I LOOOOVE mommy's necklaces!

Nuh-Night

Tonight Aaron had just gotten Addalyn's pajamas on, and we were all sitting on the floor...I said something about going "Nuh-Night" to her, and she replied by saying in the sweetest little voice "nuh-night" and then taking her bear and started walking toward the hall way.  Aaron and I looked at each other and smiled, then followed her (and I grabbed the camera) as she said "nuh-night" a couple more times as she walked straight to her crib. 

I snapped this picture right as she approached her crib.  She then turned around and looked at Aaron as if to say, "pick me up and put me to bed, daddy"

Aaah, she is just such a precious little girl!

Oh, for the LOVE of shoes!

So I've mentioned before that Addalyn loves shoes.  Well, we just got some shoes from our neighbor that her daughter has outgrown - and there is this one pair that Addy LOVES!  She will find them and want to wear them around...so the other night we took some pics of her in her shoes and PJ's.  Such a goofy girl.  But as I have said before...she is sooooo my girl when it comes to the shoe-loving thing!

I mean really, can life get much better than having a cute pair of shoes?

Reliving my pregnancy with Addalyn

So I'm 32 weeks today...and I've had a few people tell me how different I look this pregnancy vs. Addalyn.  They say I'm carrying lower...but I was carrying pretty low with Addy - I decided to look back at my 32 week post when I was pregnant with Addalyn, and something tells me I'm looking pretty similar...what do you think?

One thing that is much longer, is my hair!  Other than that...I'm feeling and looking about the same as far as I can tell.  I'd love to hear your thoughts!
